Early Yale Day of Service on the Peninsula - Volunteer at Second Harvest

You can help tackle hunger on the Peninsula. Here’s how: join the Yale Club of Silicon Valley to sort food at Second Harvest Food Bank as part of the global Yale Day of Service this year. We're sponsoring sites in San Carlos and San Jose!

Did you know that there is more than 1 in 4 people at risk of hunger in Silicon Valley?  It’s hard to imagine the pain of not being able to feed your family, or going to school on an empty stomach, but the reality is that the soaring cost of local housing leaves many families, children and seniors with little left over for food.

You can help tackle this hunger problem.  Here’s how:  join the Yale Club of Silicon Valley to sort food at Second Harvest Food Bank as part of the global Yale Day of Service this year. One in 10 people in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties receives food assistance from Second Harvest, and this number is growing.  Second Harvest needs your help.

Register by clicking on one of these locations:

·        San Carlos - Second Harvest Food Bank for San Mateo County

·        San Jose – Second Harvest Food Bank for Santa Clara County

Volunteer time and date at both locations:  9 am – Noon on Saturday, May 4, 2019

Join us for a lunch celebration afterwards at a restaurant near each location.   More details will be provided upon registration.

Deadline for registration:   April 30th or be among the first 15 people to register at each location, whichever comes first.
