We will be exploring how many blockchain startups and large enterprises are pursuing a wide range of applications, from supply chain management, to peer to peer payments, to personal data ownership and protection, and health care. Which use cases seem more promising and less promising? Why? What are the major challenges that blockchain companies and initiatives face? How are they tackling them?  What issues do large enterprises face that are different from startups? Our panel of experts will address these questions.

Douglas Y. Park, AB '91, JD, PhD

Douglas Park is Managing Partner, Park & Dibadj and PDK Strategies. He is a corporate and securities attorney named to the Super Lawyers list and a strategy consultant focused on blockchain and crypto. Doug holds an AB in Sociology from Harvard College, a PhD in Organizational Behavior from Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a JD from University of Michigan Law School.


John Wu, CEO of Digital Assets Group of SharesPost (HBS MBA)

At SharesPost, John is the Chief Executive Officer of the Digital Assets Group. This business unit is dedicated to extending SharesPost’s current leadership in private corporate assets into the digital currency, token, and blockchain world. His team is building a widespread ecosystem around its robust technology and compliance platform. It reaches major stakeholders in digital assets and blockchain companies to bring token issuers and investors into the SharesPost marketplace. Issuers and investors use SharesPost's existing Alternative Trading System to invest in ICO's and trade in aftermarket digital securities in full compliance with U.S. laws and regulations. He will also expand existing investment management offerings to provide digital asset management products and blockchain-related research.

Previously, John was the Managing Partner and Founder of Sureview Capital, a global long-short equity hedge fund, with an emphasis on technology. Prior to Sureview, John was at Kingdon Capital, a multi-billion dollar long-short hedge fund.  He received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Economics from Cornell University. At Cornell, John lettered in varsity sprint football and played freshman baseball. He is a member of the Cornell President’s Circle Committee and the Advisory Council at the Dyson Business School. He speaks Mandarin fluently and was the fundraising chair for his HBS section.

Betsabe Botaitis, Co-founder and CFO, AIKON / API Market

Betsabe Botaitis is co-founder and COO, CFO for AIKON, a technology company making blockchain as easy to use as shopping on Amazon. As a leading international fintech expert and an advocate for economic equality worldwide, Betsabe has held various senior positions at renowned and leading-edge organizations including Kueski, Mexico’s largest fintech startup, Lending Club, largest peer to peer lending marketplace, and Citigroup, at Citi Community Development and Financial Inclusion. Today, Betsabe brings her fintech expertise and lifelong mission together as founder of AIKON to launch new technology with the power to dismantle biases from opportunity and innovation worldwide. Betsabe has served on the advisory board at the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center, is a fellow for the British America Project and Hipower.

Olga Mack, VP of Strategy, Quantstamp

Olga V. Mack is a blockchain strategist, public speaker, and adjunct professor at Berkeley Law. She is Vice President of Strategy at Quantstamp, the first decentralized security auditing blockchain platform. Most recently, she served as General Counsel at ClearSlide and she has held lvarious roles at Visa, Zoosk, Pacific Art League, Wilson Sonsini, and Yahoo. You can follow her on Twitter @olgavmack.
